"To be involved with the Chamber is to be involved in the Community."

Sauerkraut Festival ParadeThe Phelps Chamber of Commerce came out big for the Sauerkraut Festival parade this year, fully equipped with a fire breathing dragon. Thanks to the creative efforts of Bette Collier coupled with the combined engineering genius of David Doktor, Gary Collier and Hal Smith, the friendly dragon came to life. Ed Byron took charge of sound effects and Heidi Westfall thrilled the children and adults alike with bursts of fire coming out of the dragon’s mouth. Hal Smith, President, and Kathy Jacobs, Chairperson, kept to the ground to share candy with the crowd and reassure the parade watchers that the dragon was indeed friendly. Clearly, the Phelps Chamber of Commerce took this year’s festival motto, “41 and still having fun,” to heart when developing their float.

Redfield Park — 2007 Community Project

In the January newsletter, the Chamber of Commerce listed “Construct Redfield Park Bathrooms": at the top of the 2007 goals. Now it is time to get down to business on this exciting community project. Preliminary drawings and a budget have been created and presented to the Village Board; the detail work is about to begin. In Redfield Parkconcept, the Chamber is proposing a two bathroom facility with a utility closet and a fully equipped concession stand. This beautiful piece of land was given to the people of the community as Redfield Common; the chamber would like to enhance the experience of this park by offering the convenience of restrooms and the added functionality of food service. Imagine the possibilities: family reunions, community ball games, convenient food and beverage service for concerts at the gazebo and much more! The Chamber will need your support on this project. Here is how you can help:

When we work together, nothing is impossible!

Event Calendar / Marketing Opportunities

One of the roles of the Chamber is to offer opportunities for our members to promote their business and to do so at a reasonable cost.  There are several ways that local businesses can get involved in the Chamber and the community and promote their business at the same time.  Find out more here...
