Phelps Historical Society
HISTORICAL MARKER PROGRAM

The Historical Society maintains nine historic marker signs in Unionville, Oaks Corners, Orleans, Gypsum, Pioneer Cemetery, Old Mill, Redfield Park, Town Hall, and Red House Observatory (located on Lester Rd.)

Eight different structures located in the Town of Phelps are currently listed on the National Register of Historical Places:

  1. Phelps Arts Center (former Episcopal Church) (1856)
  2. Phelps Baptist Church (cobblestone construction) (1845)
  3. Phelps Town Hall (1849)
  4. Harmon House on Smith Rd. (1842)
  5. Hoffman House (1845)
  6. Howe House (1869)
  7. Burnett House (1869)
  8. Hoskin House (1816)
