In addition to caring for the Howe House and the Country Lawyer’s Office, PCHS has a community-based collection. Our community resources are helpful to anyone seeking information about past and recent historical facts concerning Phelps.
Many records are indexed for quick reference and include:
- cemeteries (twenty-six town and ten in the area), birth, wedding and death records
- Over ninety scrapbooks dating from 1858 to the present full of Phelps’ history and school news. Indexed for quick reference.
- Many photos of local interest.
- Books, maps and post cards related to Phelps’ history.
- Soft fabrics including garments worn by local residents.
- Old farm implements and household equipment.
- War Items.
