PROGRAMS

Free and open to everyone young and old!   Our monthly programs are held on the 4th Monday of each month in Phelps.  Guests from around upstate NY speak on a variety of topics!   •  Game Shows with a Twist!   February 22, 2010  - 7:30 PM. Come play our local games show and test your song knowledge, price shopping and trivia! Free. Prizes. MC is Lynn Barbuto. Hosted by PCHS at Phelps Arts Center, 15 Church Street, Phelps.
  • Roseland with Ed Varno.  March  22, 2010  - 7:30 PM.  Learn about Roseland Park from a different point of view, as presented by Ed Varno, Director of the Ontario County Historical Society.   Hosted by PCHS and held at the meeting room at Phelps Community Center, 8 Banta Street, Phelps.

 

EXHIBITS

Button Up Your Overcoat   (March 2010)  Step back and take a look at fashions from across the era – hats, gloves, capes & coats from the PCHS collections.

School Days (April-July 2010) From One-room Schoolhouses to consolidated districts, we are celebrating “Reading, Writing & Arithematic” in Phelps! There will also be a section about the MORS – Midlakes One Room schoolhouse renovation project on the Midlakes (Phelps & Clifton Springs) campus.

Phelps Businesses (August-October 2010)  From old fashioned advertising give aways to signs, stories and photos –  enjoy visiting the businesses of Phelps past.

    Being a member allows you to take part in historical society functions and to purchase certain gift items at a reduced rate.
