Hospitality for Out of Towners

“We had unexpected visitors who arrived Friday via motor home. When our driveway could not accommodate the vehicle, I phoned Jim Cheney to ask permission to park near the Community Center.  He gratiously granted our request and said he would notify the police also. Our guests were dumbfounded! The icing on the cake was the smile from one of the officers they encountered when they returned to the motor home to retrieve a suitcase. They are used to a big city and the violent crime wave there. They left singing the praises of our community and we were left being convicted of taking for granted the wonderful, safe and friendly village and town we call home. Thank you all so very much.}  – Marge and Bob Lash
