Nestled in the Beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, the Village of Phelps is a small friendly community. Phelps is located in Ontario County on State Highway 96 between Rochester and Syracuse. Considered an ideal bedroom community, Phelps is primarily a rural community still unspoiled by heavy industry. The surrounding farms were responsible for canning industries, mills and farm implement industries in the village’s early growth. Modern-day Phelps offers scenic beauty with its tree lined streets, stunning architecture as well as flint Creek and Canandaigua Outlet running through the Village. Phelps offer a full range of services, provided by its merchants, business enterprises, churches and other organizations that enhance the economic, cultural and social ambition of its citizens. Phelps is the home of the Sauerkraut festival held the first weekend of august every year.
